The Friday After Last

-Jesse is gone until Monday and I'm kinda skurred here by my lonesome. Not incredibly so, but a bit. I like being alone but not alone alone. Like, I want my own alone space but to know someone is around..somewhere.. in the vicinity.

-I feel like a nice big cry. Not, like, all sad or anything..just a nice big release of emotion. Maybe a movie...I just watched Traffic. Benecio Del Toro has great eyes..beautimus.

-So, what should I do this weekend? I haven't gone out in foreva but I seriously have, like, one friend here and she's always having guy drama. It gets lame and also makes for boring converation. I know a lot of people here, but I don't know them..if ya know what I mean. So, I could go out by myself and be surrounded by a lot of people I don't ordinarly see and we will hug and drink and laugh and all secretly be in our own world of lonely while pretending a vivacious two to four hour love of one another. Or maybe that's just me. ;-)

-Are you ready for everything to look alive again? I am. Everything looks so dead around here. Well, that's because it is dead. I want green, please. Does winter take away the smells? I never smell anything....

-Ohhh, who wants to see, he's just not that into you? Me, Me, Me! LOVE Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Aniston. Why are only sad movies nominated for Oscars? You know, personal struggles, war, famine, etc, etc, etc. I was thinking about that the other day...it doesn't seem fair. I bet it takes a fair amount of acting ability to make timed laughter sound real and infectious...to make people believe in the joke, the funny. Something like Mystic River (I just watched the other day) wins six awards and really it was kinda shitty-or at the very least...same ole, same ole. Crazy creepy pedophilia turns a victim into battling demons. Neighborhood thug goes after supposed suspect of his daughter's killer...etc, etc. They didn't even explain why the brother killed the girl in the first place. Like, it was an accident..but he beat her down with a hockey stick? Why did he beat her down? Wtf was his problem? The wife of Kevin Bacon? She had her own story they forgot to tell us about? The whole story was all weird and open ended. It was good acting, and I love all the main characters. But it wasn't a good movie.

-My webmaster at 4k linked this quote from Poe-.. authors will perceive the immense advantage of giving their own manuscripts directly to the public without the expensive interference of the type-setter, and the often ruinous intervention of the publisher. All that a man of letters need do will be to pay some attention to legibility of manuscript, arrange his pages to suit himself, and stereotype them instantaneously, as arranged. He may intersperse them with his own drawings, or with anything to please his own fancy, … In the new rĂ©gime the humblest will speak as often and as freely as the most exalted, and will be sure of receiving just that amount of attention which the intrinsic merit of their speeches may deserve."

How awesome that his prediction has come true...thanks be to the internet.

Have a good Friday!
